Dear Parents/Carers,

Tomorrow is our first parent event of the year, our walk to Wombwell Woods! The children are very excited! Myself and Mr Lovatt conducted our risk assessment walk yesterday after school, the ground is fairly muddy in places and with more rain forecast today we expect this to be more so tomorrow. Please can we ask you come in sensible footwear for these conditions, it may not be the best day to wear sandals or your best white trainers! The children will be wearing our wetsuits and wellies. At the moment the forecast is dry for tomorrow, but please still bring a waterproof coat in case this changes. Please can an adult arrive at school at 12:50pm to accompany your child on the walk, we will be setting off from school at 1pm prompt. Access will be through the gate next to the car park and through the FS1 side gate, we cannot let parents through the Hough Lane entrance during school hours. We will aim to get back to school in time for home time. Due to the nature of this trip we need as many parents/carers as possible to attend to help with supervision, if you are working/unable to attend this can be a grandparent/aunt/uncle or older sibling. With your permission another parent in our class could also walk with your child as well as their own.
