Dear Parents/Carers,

Once each half term we like to invite the parents/family members of our Foundation Stage children to take part in parent learning events. These events are a chance for you to come into school and take part in some fun activities with your child and get a small taster of the types of things we do in school. Hopefully these events will also give you some ideas of activities you could replicate at home to support your child's learning.

In response to parent feedback we have now planned in these dates for the whole year hopefully giving you plenty of notice to arrange for someone to take part with your child. Do not worry if you cannot make all the events, a grandparent/family member or friend could attend in your place or our staff will complete the event with your child.

The parent events for this year are as follows;

FS2

Wednesday 22nd October - Autumn walk to Wombwell Woods (1:00pm - 3:10pm)
Friday 28th November - Early Maths (2:00pm - 3:00pm)
Friday 6th February - Early Literacy (1:45pm - 3:00pm)
Friday 13th March - Mothers' Day (2:00pm - 2:45pm)
Date TBA Likely Week Beginning 11th May - Sponsored Litter Pick
Friday 19th June - Fathers' Day (2:00pm - 2:45pm)

More details about each event will be sent out closer to the time.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at these events, we always receive positive feedback and parents find them a really enjoyable experience to share with their child.

The FS2 trip will be on Tuesday 24th March, this will be to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. This trip is just for children and school staff, unfortunately due to the size and cost of the bus no parents will be able to attend. More information will be sent out after October Half Term!
