Our Sports Days are coming up during the next couple of weeks, kicking off with the Foundation Stage today, and while we love to see parents enjoying watching these events, safeguarding is paramount so we must put in place the following:

• Parents/Carers/family members will not be allowed to wander into the school and if you are desperate to use the toilet, you will need to be accompanied by a member of staff. Obviously, staff will be busy looking after the children so we ask that you try to avoid this where possible – thank you.
• Please also do not approach you children when they are sat with their class. We need to keep a close eye on them so please just give them a little wave.
• We hope to have the majority of races completed by play time. Should events run over, please respect any coned of areas and do not try to talk to or mix with any children playing out.
• We really would like to lock the gates once events are starting and unlock them on completion for safety, but we appreciate that due to other commitments, some of you may need to come late or leave early. We will therefore leave them unlocked but as we need to keep an eye out for “intruders/trespassers”, we ask that you try to stay for the whole event.

We trust that you will all understand our reasoning and be happy to comply in the interest of keeping all our children safe.
