Child Protection and Safeguarding

Kings Oak Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, in line with statutory guidance set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education. The school works proactively with parents and carers, and in partnership with external agencies, to ensure that children are protected from harm and receive appropriate support.

All staff, volunteers, and governors understand their responsibility to safeguard children. They are required to identify, report, and record any concerns promptly, following the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures. Safeguarding concerns are acted upon in a timely manner and managed appropriately.

Parents and carers who have a safeguarding concern about a pupil or a member of the school community, or who wish to seek advice regarding a safeguarding matter, are encouraged to contact one of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads listed below. Concerns will be handled sensitively and in accordance with statutory guidance.
